47. Client request to insurer to provide reasons for decline decision
Clients will often want to understand more about the reasons they have been declined for insurance. They have a right at law to request in writing to have the reason provided in writing and insurers similarly have an obligation to fulfil this request but also have a right to provide this, if they choose, only to the client’s nominated medical practitioner (usually GP).
